- The government will allocate 4 trillion rubles to support the competitiveness of Roscosmos
By 2036, the Russian government will allocate 4 trillion rubles under a national project to support the competitiveness of Roscosmos. This was announced on July 9 by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin during a meeting with Dmitry Bakanov, CEO of the state corporation.
According to him, over the past few months, active work under the leadership of Russian President Vladimir Putin has made it possible to finalize a new national project.
"About 4 trillion rubles are provided for its financing until 2036. First of all, we will use these funds to maintain the competitiveness of the Russian space industry," Mishustin said.
In addition, the Prime Minister instructed to increase the economic efficiency of enterprises in the space industry. He stressed that the domestic business is showing great interest in participating in space projects.
On June 30, Russian scientists identified specific areas near the Moon's poles for hosting national bases. It was clarified that the sites are located in areas with constant sunlight and stable communication with the Earth. In 2028, the Russian Federation will send two modules to the satellite as part of the Luna-27 mission.
