A trail through seven lakes will appear in Murmansk.

A trail will be created in Murmansk that will connect the coast of the Kola Bay and the seven lakes of the city. According to preliminary data, its total length will be 24 km.

The plans for the development of the trail were discussed by the participants of the architectural and urban planning Council on July 7, writes the Bi-Port news agency. This idea was incorporated into the general plans of the city back in the 80s, however, taking into account the development, the route was lost.

The project consists of six parts. To implement the first stage of the project, the authorities want to receive support from the Russian Ministry of Construction and have submitted an application for the All-Russian competition for the creation of the best urban environment projects.

Earlier in June, it was reported that hiking trails would be legalized in the Murmansk Region. Similar measures will affect the whole country.
