Another Orthodox chapel will be built in the Eastern Administrative District. It was laid on the square near the railway station in the city of Obluchye. Before the construction of the chapel in the name of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, Bishop Luke of Birobidzhan and Kuldura sang a prayer service.

The diocese told EAOmedia that St. Nicholas is the patron saint of travelers, and a chapel is being built next to the railway station so that everyone can pray for well-being on the way.

Vladyka celebrated the divine service together with the cleric of the Preobrazhensky diocesan district and the staff of the Birobidzhan diocesan administration. The choristers of the Annunciation Cathedral performed liturgical hymns. The event was also attended by employees of the city and district administrations, representatives of the directorate of the Far Eastern Railway, believers and residents of the city.

Earlier it was reported that the EAO will receive 2 billion rubles from budgets of all levels as part of the implementation of the national project "Infrastructure for Life". The funds are intended for the comprehensive renovation of settlements. 1.4 billion rubles have been allocated from the federal budget for these purposes.
