In the second week of July, price fluctuations are expected in the range of 76-79.8 rubles per dollar, 88.5–93.5 rubles per euro and 10.5–11 rubles per yuan, according to Spartak Sobolev, head of Research and Investment Strategies at Alfa-Forex. He told Izvestia about this on July 8.

On July 8, the Central Bank of the Russian Federation set the exchange rate of the American currency at 78.7 rubles, the European currency at 92.4 rubles, and the Chinese currency at 10.9 rubles. At the same time, according to the Moscow Stock Exchange, on July 7, the yuan is trading at 10.8 rubles.

"The ruble has continued to be in demand since the beginning of weekly trading amid growing interest in Russian debt instruments. The Moscow Government Bond Exchange RGBI index rose steadily to the levels of 115.7 points in March last year, reflecting investors' desire to lock in yields in anticipation of further easing of the Bank of Russia's monetary policy," Sobolev summed up.

On June 5, Maxim Chirkov, associate professor of the Department of Economic Policy and Economic Measurements at GUU, said that the US rejection of the debt ceiling could lead to a sharp weakening of the dollar and an increase in inflation. This decision will only accelerate the build-up of the national debt, which will eventually provoke a devaluation of the US currency.
