The BRICS countries at the summit took a unified position on the inadmissibility of Israeli strikes against Iran. This was announced by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

On July 6, Lavrov, during a meeting with his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araqchi, condemned the military strikes by Israel and the United States on the territory of the Islamic Republic. In addition, the Foreign Ministers of the two countries stressed that the crisis over the Iranian nuclear program must be resolved exclusively through political and diplomatic means.
