The Avatr 12 sedan will enter the Russian market in September.

Changan plans to launch the new Avatr 12 sedan on the Russian market in September this year. This was reported by the Izvestia correspondent from the Innoprom exhibition in Yekaterinburg on July 7.

At the start of sales, the Avatr 12 will be presented with a purely electric power plant, while in China the model is also offered in a hybrid version.

In the basic version, the five-meter electric sedan has one 322-horsepower motor and a battery with a capacity of 94.5 kWh. Heated steering wheel and seats are provided, and you can choose from three interior trim options. The flagship version is equipped with a twin-engine all-wheel drive system with a total output of 578 hp (650 Nm) and the same battery as in the standard version. The power reserve of such an Avatr 12 reaches 700 km on the CLTC cycle, acceleration to "hundreds" takes 3.9 seconds.

In the top-end version, there is an electric door drive and an air suspension with adjustable shock absorber stiffness, cameras instead of rear-view mirrors. Cars for the Russian market will not be equipped with lidar and a display under the windshield.

Changan announced the launch of the Avatr luxury brand of electric vehicles in Russia in November last year. The brand was created in partnership with the Chinese IT giant Huawei. Sales of the Avatr 11 electric crossover started in Russia at the end of January, the model costs from 6.95 million rubles. It is presented in Russia in three versions, which differ in the power plant and interior layout.

Earlier that day, it was reported that Mir Distributor had certified the MG HS crossover in Russia. It became the fifth model of the British-Chinese brand in the Russian Federation, which has vehicle type Approval (allows you to start mass sales of cars into the country and import them through official channels).
