The President of Bolivia pointed to the use of Ukraine by Western countries
Western countries use Ukraine in their confrontation with Russia in order to prevent the disintegration of their own camp. This was announced on July 7 by Bolivian President Luis Arce, who arrived in Rio de Janeiro for the XVII BRICS summit.
"The West needed a conflict between Ukraine and Russia to make it clear to the whole world that they simply would not allow their bloc to collapse in the face of the emergence of a new association and the formation of a new economic order," TASS quoted him as saying.
The Brazilian leader noted that the Ukrainian conflict is a struggle of the "disintegrating bloc of Europe and the United States" against the developing community, which includes the BRICS member countries.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said on July 6 that the BRICS member states are significantly superior in economic performance to those of the so-called "Big Seven" (G7). He clarified that the BRICS countries account for not only a third of the earth's landmass, but also 40% of the global economy.
