In case of significant changes in appearance, it is necessary to replace the passport. This was announced on July 5 in the Main Directorate for Migration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

"According to the legislation, the passport is replaced if there are significant changes in appearance due to a previous illness or medical intervention. In this and a number of other cases, it is necessary to replace the passport within 90 days," the department's Telegram channel informed.

It is specified that when changing the appearance of a minor, there is no need to replace a foreign passport during its validity period. In addition, there is no administrative liability for using such a document.

Earlier, on June 22, Onlinetours sales manager Svetlana Gerasimova told Izvestia how to act in case of passport loss abroad. According to her, first you need to contact the state police, which will help prevent possible misuse of the document.
