The mayor of Orenburg Sergey Salmin resigned
The mayor of Orenburg, Sergey Salmin, submitted the application on his own, being in the area of a special military operation. He stated this on June 3 in a video message posted on his Telegram channel.,
"My volunteer contract with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation is coming to an end very soon, and I have decided to extend it for myself. I cannot leave my commander now <...> and my comrades—in-arms," he said.
The mayor added that he was aware that Orenburg needed a permanent head. Salmin also thanked the deputies, colleagues from the administration and the regional government for their joint work, as well as for the assistance they provide to the soldiers at the front. He stressed that the decision to resign was not easy, but it was dictated by circumstances.
The press service of the Krasnodar Territory administration reported on June 24 that Anapa Mayor Vasily Shvets resigned of his own accord. They clarified that the decision was supported by deputies of the city council. Alexander Topalov, Deputy Head of the region, on behalf of Governor Veniamin Kondratiev, thanked the mayor for the work done, noting the steady growth of the economy, the well-being of residents and the development of infrastructure.
