The media pointed to Zelensky's failure at the NATO summit
The NATO summit in The Hague was unsuccessful for the President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, who turned out to be only an observer at it. The Bild newspaper writes about this on June 25.
"He (Zelensky. — Ed.) was, however, invited, but there was no separate working meeting this time," the publication noted.
The publication notes that the final statement completely omits the words that the country is "irreversibly standing" on its way to NATO — it contains only a vague phrase that "the allies confirm their long-term national commitments to support Ukraine."
At the same time, according to Bild sources who participated in the summit, US President Donald Trump never even mentioned Russia during the working meeting.
Earlier in the day, it was reported that the meeting between Trump and Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky lasted 40 minutes. It is noted that it was held in a closed format, without the participation of media representatives and broadcasting. After the meeting, the American leader said that he had not discussed the possibility of a ceasefire with Zelensky, and added that resolving the Ukrainian conflict had proved difficult.
