The Iranian ambassador spoke about the failure of the Israeli strikes

Israel has failed to achieve any of its military goals as a result of strikes on targets in Iran, Iranian Ambassador to Russia Kazem Jalali said in an exclusive article for Izvestia.

The decisive role was played by the superiority of Tehran's opponents in the air, experts believe.

"Israel, on behalf of the unilateral coalition, violates the global nonproliferation regime while receiving support from them. The international community must not leave these crimes and violations of norms unanswered. The Islamic Republic of Iran, through heroic resistance and national defense, has punished the aggressor enemy, an enemy that has failed to achieve any of its predatory and illegal goals," the ambassador said.

According to him, the actions of the United States and Israel during the 12-day war against Iran constitute not only a military attack, but also a direct violation of international law.

"This was a direct attack on the fundamental principles of the international legal order, in which the two nuclear powers, the United States of America and Israel, are officially and openly involved," Kazem Jalali stressed.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump announced the entry into force of an agreement related to a complete cease-fire between Israel and Iran.
