At least 610 people have died as a result of Israeli strikes on Iran since the beginning of the escalation of the conflict. This was announced on June 24 by the Minister of Health of the Islamic Republic, Mohammad Reza Zafargandi.
"I must inform you that over the past 12 days, the hospitals of the Ministry of Health have faced very sad scenes: as of June 23, 5,356 people were killed and injured," he wrote on his page on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
According to Zafargandi, at least 610 people were killed, including 49 women and 13 children. The minister added that as a result of the Israeli strikes, seven hospitals and nine ambulances were damaged.
On June 23, the United Nations (UN) reported that Israeli strikes on Iran had damaged a clinic for children with autism and a hospital in Kermanshah. It was also clarified that Israeli attacks killed many civilians and severely damaged Iran's civilian infrastructure.
