Kirill Breido, communications director of the Moscow football club (FC) CSKA, denied reports of possible criminal liability against the new head coach of the Swiss club Fabio Celestini due to receiving a salary in the Russian Federation. He wrote about this on June 23 in the Telegram channel.

"You used to read respected European publications and realize that there is no sport in their sports journalism, in principle. As well as fact—checking," he pointed out.

Braido added that CSKA is not under either European or Swiss sanctions. In addition, he called the comments about Celestini's criminal responsibility "quite expected."

The Director of Communications also stressed that midfielder Miralem Pjanic found himself in a similar situation last year after joining CSKA.

On June 21, the Blick newspaper reported that Celestini could be prosecuted in his native country due to receiving a salary in the Russian Federation. A Swiss can be prosecuted and receive a term of up to five years in his homeland.
