A girl drowned in the pool of a spa complex in Rostov-on-Don. Presumably, she was diving for a bracelet, hit herself and lost consciousness. An eyewitness of the incident told Izvestia about this on June 21.
At the time of the tragedy, the man was relaxing with his family on the sun beds. When it became clear that the child who had dived under the water was not moving, panic began among the visitors.
"We saw that the child was lying at the bottom of the pool. <...> The girl dived, according to [eyewitnesses], for the bracelet and slipped, hit, lost consciousness," he explained.
According to the man, the paramedics who arrived at the scene pumped the girl out for about 40 minutes, but they could not save her.
Other witnesses of the incident said that before the ambulance arrived, one of those present rushed to help the girl. According to one of the visitors, the girl came to the pool with her friend's parents — presumably, she decided to dive under the water when the adults were distracted.
After the incident, the pool was closed, and law enforcement officers are working at the scene.
