The Israeli Air Force attacked a nuclear research center in Iran
The Israeli Air Force carried out a series of strikes on a nuclear research center and military facilities in Tehran last night. This was reported on June 20 by The Times of Israel newspaper with reference to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).
"The Israeli Air Force launched a series of strikes on Tehran overnight, targeting dozens of Iranian military installations and a nuclear research center," the IDF said in a statement.
It is reported that more than 60 fighter jets were involved in the attack on Iran, which dropped about 120 munitions. Among the facilities hit were the headquarters of the SPND nuclear project and facilities of the military-industrial complex.
"Another facility that was hit was used to produce a component necessary for the regime's nuclear weapons program," the Israeli army said.
Avihai Adrai, an official representative of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), said at a briefing on June 19 that the Israeli side had attacked Iranian nuclear facilities in Bushehr, Isfahan and Natanz. He noted that 40 fighter jets of the country's Air Force attacked dozens of military targets near Tehran and other areas of Iran.
Later that day, the BBC Russian service reported that as a result of Israeli strikes on Iran, a nuclear reactor and nearby areas of the complex were damaged in Arak.
