MTS Bank and the National Payment Card System (NSPK) have agreed to develop technology for paying bills using voice assistants. A corresponding agreement was signed on the sidelines of SPIEF 2025.

During the forum, NSPK and MTS Bank presented a prototype technology for paying bills for mobile communication services using a smart speaker. A voice command is enough to make a payment. The system will independently request account data and perform the operation through the Quick Payment System (SBP).

"Together with NSPK, we are piloting various projects within the framework of the development of the Mir and SBP payment systems. We are introducing alternative payment methods, including QR-ing payments from the operator's personal account, which will allow anyone to make payments quickly and safely, both in Russia and abroad. Of course, this will accelerate the development of the payments and transfers market," said Eduard Issopov, Chairman of the Management Board of MTS Bank.

Dmitry Dubynin, CEO and Chairman of the Management Board of NSPK, stressed that together with MTS Bank and other financial organizations, a universal QR code had been successfully implemented. This technology will continue to be improved, while at the same time, the NSPK is testing new tools for the market, including personal QR and the technology of paying bills through SBP using voice assistants. Dubynin is confident that these solutions will become publicly available in the near future.
