The average price of a used car in Russia has been calculated

The average price of a used passenger car in Russia in May 2025 was 1.44 million rubles. This was reported on June 10 by the analytical agency Autostat.

Compared to April of the same year, used cars have become cheaper by an average of 2% or 29 thousand rubles. Experts noted that the price has been declining this year, and this is happening more and more every month.

So, in February, used cars fell in price by 0.1% compared to January, in March — by 0.2%, and in April — by 0.6%. Thus, since the beginning of this year, the price has decreased by almost 3% or 43 thousand rubles.

If we compare the May figure with what it was a year ago (in May 2024), then used passenger cars lost an average of 8% or 124 thousand rubles in price.

Earlier in the day, it was reported that in May 2025, more than 37 thousand used passenger cars were imported to Russia, which is 23% more than in May last year. The total volume of imports of used passenger cars in five months exceeded 142 thousand units, which is 2% less than last year's figure.

Also on June 10, it became known that in May, four popular models in the Russian secondary market immediately fell by more than 10% compared to the same period last year. According to analysts, compared with May 2024, the acquisition of Renault Logan turned out to be the most profitable, the cost of which decreased by 11.9% to 420 thousand rubles.
