The World Bank has improved its forecast for Russia's GDP growth in 2026
The World Bank (WB) has improved forecasts for Russia's GDP growth next year. This is stated in the report "Global Economic Prospects", published on the official website.
The document says that Russia is expected to grow by 1.2% in 2026, and by 1.2% in 2027.
"In Russia, economic growth increased to 4.3% in 2024, driven by a steady upturn in manufacturing activity, especially in industries related to the military and import substitution," the report says.
Earlier in the day, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said at the plenary session of the IV Tashkent International Investment Forum that the Russian economy continues to demonstrate stability and active development.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, strengthening trade and economic ties with countries in Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America is a priority for Russia.
