Austria has declared three days of national mourning in connection with the shooting at a school in Graz. This was announced on June 10 by Chancellor Christian Stoecker.

According to him, the incident is a national tragedy that has shocked the population.

"The whole of Austria will honor the memory of the victims during three days of national mourning, flags will be lowered at half—mast on the buildings of all state institutions," Stoecker said at a press conference broadcast by the OE24 portal.

In addition, a minute of silence will be declared across the country at 10:00 (11:00 Moscow time).

Interior Minister Gerhard Karner also said that nine people were killed in the tragedy: six women and three men, and 12 others were injured.

The shooting at the Austrian school became known earlier that day. Previously, the attacker opened fire in two classrooms. The shooter turned out to be a student at the school and considered himself a victim of bullying. The body of the attacker was found in one of the school toilets.
