Belji Belarusian Automobile Plant announces large-scale modernization

A large-scale modernization of a number of production sites will take place at the Belji plant in Belarus in June. The changes will affect the welding and body painting workshops. This is stated in the company's message, which was received by Izvestia on June 10.

"The modernization is aimed at improving product quality, significantly increasing production capacity to meet growing demand, as well as introducing modern technologies to improve production efficiency and environmental friendliness," the plant's representatives said.

Over the past year, the company has been working on the localization of vehicles, and the replacement of many key components has been successfully implemented, the company said.

They also noted that on June 6, Belgee released the 100-thousandth car of the national brand Belgee. The anniversary model was the Belgee X50 crossover in the Style package, painted in silver metallic. Currently, the Belgee brand in Russia is represented by two models. In addition to the compact X50 crossover, the mid-size X70 is offered.

On June 3, it was reported that the Belgee X50 entered the top ten bestsellers of the Russian car market in May. The Lada Granta model topped the sales list: over the last spring month, 12 thousand Granta cars were sold, including those produced on its basis. This is 35.1% less than a year ago.
