A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. The Russian Defense Ministry reported that at night, the Russian Armed Forces launched a massive strike with long-range precision air-launched weapons at one of the airfields with tactical aircraft of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Dubno area of the Rivne region, all designated targets were successfully hit. The ministry clarified that this was one of the retaliatory strikes against the terrorist attacks on Russian military airfields committed by the Kiev regime.
In addition, units of the Center group of forces have increased the liberated territory in the Dnipropetrovsk region. In this area, the enemy lost more than 525 troops, an American AN/TPQ-48 counter-battery radar, nine pickup trucks, seven armored combat vehicles, including a Swedish-made Viking armored personnel carrier and six field artillery guns.
In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, 23,836 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 663 aircraft, 610 anti-aircraft missile systems, 1,571 multiple launch rocket systems, 283 helicopters, 25,941 field artillery and mortars, 62467 unmanned aerial vehicles, 36668 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
