In 2024, the Russian economy became the sixth in the world among the countries with the lowest dependence on exports. This was reported on June 8 by RIA Novosti with reference to data from the national statistical services.

According to the results of last year, Russia's dependence on exports was half the global average - only 21.9%, which puts it in sixth position. According to RIA Novosti, data from 25 countries with the largest economies were taken for analysis, and the average export figure was 40.7%.
