Seven people were injured in a shooting at a bike ride in Germany.
Seven people were injured after an unknown man opened fire on participants of a bike ride in the German city of Halle. This was reported by the Bild newspaper on June 7, citing the police.
"Shots were fired in Halle on Friday evening. A total of seven demonstrators were offended," the article says.
According to the newspaper, the shooter used projectiles, which are plastic shells with metal balls inside. Such ammunition is used for air rifles and can be dangerous — if it gets into the eye, a person may lose their eyesight. Presumably, the victims' clothes mitigated the effects of the shots.
All the victims refused medical help. The police are investigating the fact of intentional infliction of bodily harm. The identity of the attackers has not yet been established.
On June 1, it was reported that one person was killed and 12 others were injured as a result of a mass shooting in the US state of North Carolina. According to local law enforcement officials, one victim is in critical condition, and 10 more people are in hospital in serious condition.
