The conflict between US President Donald Trump and American entrepreneur Elon Musk began to subside after a series of harsh statements on social networks. This was announced on June 6 by the Axios portal.

According to the publication, both sides have switched to more restrained rhetoric, reducing the volume of mutual criticism after a negative public reaction.

In addition, Elon Musk abandoned his intentions to decommission the Dragon ships, which are used by the United States to deliver people and cargo to the International Space Station. This decision, according to the portal, was also a step towards de-escalation of relations between the parties.

On June 3, Musk criticized the draft budget proposed by the Trump administration, calling it a disgusting "abomination." On June 5, Musk publicly supported the idea of impeaching Trump. The president, in turn, wrote that terminating contracts with Musk is the easiest way to save money in the state budget. At the same time, Tesla shares fell sharply.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov on June 6 called the quarrel between Trump and Musk an internal event of another country, noting that the US president would resolve differences with the businessman himself.
