Kravtsov named the date of the appearance of the unified school textbook on literature

The unified school textbook on literature will be ready within two years. This was announced on June 5 by the head of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation Sergey Kravtsov at a meeting of the Council for the Implementation of state policy in the field of support for the Russian language and the languages of the peoples of Russia.

"Today we have a unified literature program, on the basis of which a state textbook is being made <...> And within two years, we have agreed, there will be such a textbook," he said.

Kravtsov added that the Ministry of Education has prepared a list of extracurricular literature for schoolchildren in the country. He noted that books from the list should be in every library. The minister also said that the Ministry of Education had monitored all 39,000 school libraries in the country.

On May 26, Kravtsov announced that in the next three years, unified state textbooks in all subjects will appear in Russia. He added that work is currently continuing on state textbooks on the Russian language and literature.
