Inter Football Club (FC) has announced the resignation of Italian specialist Simone Inzaghi from the post of head coach of the team. Information about this was published on the club's official website on June 3.

Inzaghi has been in charge of Inter since the summer of 2021.

"It's time for me to say goodbye to this club after a four-year journey during which I gave my all. Every day, my first and last thought was always Inter. Then the players, the leaders and every employee of the club reciprocated with professionalism and passion," the statement said.

It is reported that under Inzaghi's leadership, the club won six national trophies and also reached the Champions League final twice.

The parties terminated the contract by mutual agreement following a meeting on June 3, Sport-Express adds. The 49-year-old Italian may head the Saudi Al-Hilal.

On May 31, French FC Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) became the winner of the UEFA Champions League for the first time in its history. In the final match of the championship, held at the Allianz Arena in Munich, PSG defeated FC Inter 5-0.
