A criminal case on the provision of services that do not meet safety requirements was opened in Cheboksary after the collapse of the brickwork of a multi-storey building. This was reported on June 3 in the press service of the Investigative Department (SU) of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia for Chuvashia.
"Employees of Svoi Dvor Management Company LLC, residents of the house, officials of the State Housing Inspectorate are being interrogated, and documents related to its maintenance have been requested," the department's Telegram channel clarifies.
According to the Investigative Committee, employees of Svoi Dv Management Company LLC allowed the wall of the building to get wet and its subsequent collapse onto the territory near the entrance to one of the entrances. It is specified that this situation has created a danger to the life and health of the residents of the house.
On June 2, a source from Izvestia reported that brickwork collapsed from a multi-storey building in Cheboksary and crushed several cars parked below. The prosecutor's office of Chuvashia clarified that the incident occurred in the Vostochny Settlement microdistrict. Two cars were damaged.
