Lavrov spoke about working out the details of the prisoner exchange between Russia and the United States.

The details of the prisoner exchange between the Russian Federation and the United States are being worked out through the competent authorities. This was announced on May 27 by Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

"The details, for obvious reasons, are being coordinated through the relevant competent authorities," he added after talks with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.

The Russian Foreign Minister also said that the presidents of the Russian Federation and the United States, Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, agreed during a telephone conversation to prepare an exchange of prisoners.

Putin and Trump had a telephone conversation on May 19 that lasted more than two hours. During the conversation, they discussed, among other things, the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine. The Russian president called the conversation informative, frank and useful.
