The cardiologist told about possible symptoms of aneurysm
Intracranial aneurysm, when the vessel wall protrudes, may be accompanied by impaired cognitive abilities and headache. However, it happens that small aneurysms do not manifest themselves, and people live up to 100 years without knowing about them, cardiovascular surgeon and cardiologist Vladimir Khoroshev told Izvestia.
"If [an aneurysm] inside the brain manifests itself, malformation begins. Malformation is a congenital pathology. It is very common when the intracranial arteries are dilated. Any [aneurysm], even of the smallest diameter, the smallest, begins to increase as the walls weaken, and once it increases, dislocation syndrome of the brain occurs, and once it occurs, then, naturally, feelings of fatigue, headaches, and a variety of manifestations can occur," the doctor explained.
He added that the symptoms also depend on the location of the aneurysm, that is, on which structure of the brain it is closest to.
"It doesn't depend on the immune system. <...> If a person feels [symptoms] in his 40-50 years, he begins to feel tired, then this is a reason to consult a doctor," the specialist emphasized.
At the same time, he continued, almost 96% of humanity lives with one malformation or another, and a person can live up to 100 years without feeling signs of pathology.
Earlier, on May 20, orthopedic traumatologist and surgeon at the European Medical Center (EMC) Alexei Afanasyev spoke about the dangers of "simple" injuries. With any sprain, a partial ligament tear occurs, and with a bruise, there may be a bone contusion and an impression fracture, he noted.
