NYT reported the sale of Michael Schumacher's Ferrari for $18 million
Michael Schumacher's Ferrari racing car, which he drove in the Formula 1 World Championship in 2001, was sold at RM Sotheby's for $18.17 million. This was reported on May 25 by The New York Times (NYT).
According to the newspaper, this car became the most expensive ever sold at a Formula 1 auction and the fourth most expensive Formula 1 car after three Mercedes cars.
It is specified that Schumacher drove it when he won the Monaco Grand Prix, the Hungarian Grand Prix in 2001 and won the world title.
On May 23, BFMTV announced the sale of a rare saber belonging to French Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte at an auction in Paris for more than €4.6 million.
