One person was killed when a car collided with a tree in the Irkutsk region.

In Angarsk, Irkutsk region, a car collided with a tree, resulting in one death. This was reported on May 25 in the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Main directorate (GU) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation in the region.

"The 36-year—old driver of a Honda Fit Shuttle car, moving from the village of Meget towards Irkutsk, lost control and drove off the road, as a result of which he hit a tree," the Telegram channel says.

The department added that the driver of the car was injured due to the accident. He was hospitalized. However, the 47-year-old passenger died at the scene from her injuries before medical help arrived.

All the circumstances of the incident are currently being established.

The relationship with the victim was recognized as a mitigating circumstance.

Earlier that day, on the 52nd km of the outer side of the MKAD, an accident occurred between two trucks and several passenger cars. It was noted that there was no information about the victims. In addition, traffic in the area of the accident was obstructed for a kilometer. It was later restored.
