On May 25, the register of debtors on alimony obligations was launched on the website of the Federal Bailiff Service (FSSP). It is located on the department's main page in the "Find out about your debts" section.

The register of alimony debtors will include persons who have been brought to administrative and criminal responsibility for non-payment of funds for the maintenance of minor children or disabled parents.

The debtor enters the register of malicious defaulters from the moment he is put on the wanted list or within five days from the moment the bailiffs receive the judicial act on bringing him to justice. Information about the debtor will be kept in the register until the debt is fully paid off.

Family lawyer Anna Frolova said on May 21 that the publication of the register of malicious alimony defaulters is the foundation for tougher measures against unscrupulous citizens. It can also have a psychological impact on abusive child support defaulters who fear for their reputation, she added.
