Two teenagers who planned to set fire to the building of the Ministry of Defense were detained in the Tver region.

In the Tver region, law enforcement officers detained two minors who planned to set fire to the building of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. This was announced on May 22 by the press service of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Tver region.

"The investigative bodies of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Tver region have initiated and are investigating criminal cases against two minors born in 2008 and 2011, accused of committing crimes under Part 1 of Article 30, Part 1 of Article 205, Part 2 of Article 205.5 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Preparation for the commission of a terrorist act and participation in a terrorist organization")", — follows from the material.

According to the press service of the department, residents of the Tver region received instructions from Ukrainian curators in the messenger. The task was to set fire to one of the buildings of the Ministry of Defense in the city of Vyshny Volochok on the eve of Victory Day celebrations.

It is clarified that the person involved, born in 2011, independently built incendiary devices, while the second one was notified in the messenger about the location of the ready-made ones.

Law enforcement officers stopped the criminal activity and seized the devices. The court granted the request for a preventive measure in the form of detention.

"Incendiary devices were seized at the place of residence of the detained teenagers and in an equipped cache, and correspondence with a supervisor and video reports on the reconnaissance of the target of the attack were found in one of the mobile phones," the Investigative Committee concluded.

On May 19, two young men were sentenced to up to 12 years for arson on the West Siberian Railway. At the time of the crime, the attackers were 17 and 20 years old. It was reported that the detainees agreed to set fire to railway equipment in one of the messengers in order to receive a certain amount of money.
