The media reported on Britain's shipment of dummy tanks to Ukraine
The UK is sending realistic mock-ups of tanks and air defense systems to Ukraine to create the illusion of more military equipment. This was reported on May 11 by The Times newspaper with reference to the British military.
"British troops are trying to mislead the Russian military into thinking that Britain has sent more weapons to Ukraine than it actually has," the publication says.
According to the newspaper, experts take digital photographs of military equipment, after which they print them on special materials and send them to Kiev, where they assemble the models in a short time, after which they are placed on the front line.
The Times quotes Colonel Ollie Todd of the Royal Marines, who said that Britain, along with five real cars, could provide Kiev with up to 30 mockups.
On April 11, The Times reported that Britain's involvement in the Ukrainian conflict turned out to be much deeper than many could have imagined. According to the newspaper, the British military were secretly sent to Ukrainian territory to equip Ukrainian planes with missiles and teach soldiers how to use them correctly.
