The market for ready meals in Russia may grow by 50% in seven years. Analysts of the Dostaevsky ready-to-eat food service came to this conclusion in the study. They note that, despite the end of the pandemic, Russians have not refused, but, on the contrary, are increasing the number of purchases of ready-made food, not only for dinners, lunches and breakfasts, but also corporate parties, various holidays and events.
"The ready-to-eat food market is projected to grow from $425.39 billion in 2025 to $626.13 billion by 2032, indicating an average annual growth rate of 5.68%. However, for the most part it is caused by inflation," says the study, which is available to Izvestia.
It also notes that the fastest growth occurred during the pandemic years, and now it is not so large-scale.
"Nevertheless, the ready-to-eat food delivery market continues to evolve, primarily due to technology and changes in consumer preferences. The pandemic has radically transformed the food industry, and many of those who had not previously opted for delivery are now opting for electronic shopping and nutrition solutions. This has created a new norm in terms of convenience and accessibility," the study authors explain.
Earlier, on March 25, it was reported that Russians spend more money on animal feed than on a cup of coffee, and milk has become one of the most popular products in all regions. And only in the North Caucasus region are energy drinks in the lead. The company producing chips is the leader in the NTech-500 rating. Meat products took silver. And the dairy brand is in third place.
