An increase in beer production was recorded in Russia. So, in February, brewers produced 48 million liters of the drink more than in January: 661 million to 612 million liters, respectively. On March 27, Izvestia was informed about this by the press service of the Center for the Development of Advanced Technologies (CRPT).

They also noted that production continues to grow in the first month of spring. In just one weekend, March 15-16, 5.6 million liters more were produced than in the first weekend of March.

"Beer is a seasonal product that is especially in demand during the warmer months. The average production per day in March for the first 23 days increased by more than 385 thousand liters compared to the daily production in February," explained Ekaterina Davydova, head of the Beer and Beer Drinks product group at the CRPT.

The CRPT also noted that St. Petersburg became the leader among beer production, where more than 207 million liters of beer and beverages containing it were produced in the first 23 days of March. In second place is the Moscow region (186 million liters), followed by the Samara region, where volumes reached 28 million liters.

Nutritionist Andrey Bobrovsky told on January 23 about the danger of a "beer belly". He explained that a "beer belly" implies a large deposit of visceral fat, which is located inside the abdominal cavity. According to him, this fat is very dangerous because it negatively affects many internal organs and many processes.
