Kovalchuk appointed Deputy Chairman of the Russian Maritime Board

Mikhail Kovalchuk, President of the Kurchatov Institute National Research Center, became Deputy Chairman of the Russian Maritime Board. This was announced on March 24 at a meeting of the scientific expert council of the board by its chairman, Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation Nikolai Patrushev.
"I would like to inform you that by decree of the President of Russia, Mikhail Valentinovich Kovalchuk, head of the Scientific and Expert Council of the Maritime Collegium, has been appointed deputy chairman of the Maritime Collegium," Patrushev said.
Earlier, on January 23, Mikhail Kovalchuk, president of the Kurchatov Institute National Research Center, said that the Arctic is the testing ground of the future, where Russia has a global advantage. He noted that the country must be super-strong in the region to protect its national interests.
