In Veliky Novgorod, firefighters have localized a large fire in the Central Market. This was announced on March 24 by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the region.

"A fire broke out in a two-storey commercial building on the Central Market on Prusskaya Street. Previously, the fire area is 800 "squares," the department said.

50 fire service specialists and 14 pieces of equipment are working on site. The extinguishing process is complicated by heavy smoke.

A day earlier, one person died in a fire in a private house in Kalmykia. It is specified that the total fire area was 35 sq. m. A gas and smoke protection unit was formed to extinguish the fire. Two tanker trucks and five personnel were also involved by fire department specialists.
