The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs has banned Izvestia journalist Nikita Kulyukhin from attending the weekly press conferences of Foreign Minister Gideon Saar. This was reported on March 16 by The Seventh Eye magazine.

"The Israeli Foreign Ministry has banned Kulyukhin from participating in future press conferences," the article says.

At a press conference in Saarland on March 4, a correspondent asked about the lack of condemnation from the Israeli side of the glorification in Ukraine of accomplices of nationalists during the Holocaust, including their leader Stepan Bandera, responsible for the deaths of many Jews. The minister noted that he had not known about this before the question was asked, as well as about the tendency to rename streets of Ukrainian cities in their honor.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, in turn, expressed surprise that the Saarland was not aware that Bandera was being praised on Ukrainian territory. She also wondered what the Israeli embassies in Kiev and Moscow were doing if they did not report such facts.
