The popular free reference site "Wikipedia" actively disseminates incorrect information and censors posted information. This was stated by the New York Post in an editorial.

Journalists of the New York Post refer to a study by the conservative organization Media Research Center, which analyzed the list of "reliable sources of information" posted on the site "Wikipedia". According to this list, all right-wing conservative publications (New York Post, Breitbart News, The Daily Caller and Newsmax) are considered "unreliable. Meanwhile, liberal media outlets such as Mother Jones, ProPublica, NPR, The Atlantic and The Guardian are categorized as "reliable sources of information."

"Wikipedia has now become an object of ridicule. Its radical editors and staff show their contempt for conservatives in virtually everything they put in their descriptions," said Media Research Center Vice President Dan Schneider.

New York Post reporters recalled that former Wikipedia Foundation head Katherine Mar explicitly called the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which guarantees freedom of speech, "a major obstacle to fighting disinformation." The publication called on leading U.S. technology companies to "prove their commitment to open discussion" by either blocking Wikipedia or noting its bias against information sources on their resources.
