There is a serious shortage of drone operators in the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was stated by the servicewoman of the AFU Ulyana Kuzik on air of the Ukrainian TV channel NTA.

"I once said that the day would come that I would be looking not for drones, but for drone operators and you know: this time has really come," - said Kuzik.

She also noted the increase in payroll costs for additional warfighting assets, including drones and drone parts.

Earlier in the day, the Washington Post wrote about the Ukrainian Armed Forces ' defenses "cracking at the seams" due to the Russian army taking control of Dzerzhinsk in the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR).

The special operation to defend Donbass, the start of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
