Musk predicts U.S. defeats in future wars without reforming the military
TheUS will not win the next wars if the army is not immediately reformed. This was stated by American billionaire Ilon Musk in social network X (former Twitter) on February 7.
This is how Musk commented on a post by entrepreneur Chamath Palihapitiya, in which the latter claimed that the US Navy plans to spend $40 billion a year for the next 30 years on 364 ships, although part of this amount could go to 10,000 attack UAVs that could "cover the whole world."
"Unless urgent and significant changes are made, the U.S. will suffer a crushing defeat in the next war," Musk wrote.
According to Musk the current strategy is to build a small number of weapons at a high price to fight "yesterday's war."
Earlier, on January 30, Daniel Driscoll, nominee for U.S. Secretary of the Army, said that Russia is successfully forming combat-ready armed forces and creating new strategic means in defiance of the sanctions regime. At the same time, in his opinion, the U.S. technological advantage is shrinking and the army needs to speed up modernization and better prepare forces for advances in unmanned and autonomous combat operations
