At NAIS-2025, technologies to combat enemy UAVs were presented
The NAIS-2025 national civil aviation infrastructure exhibition has come to an end in Moscow; it was the largest in its 12-year history. On the last day of the event, experts discussed technologies that allow UAVs and manned aircraft to fly in a single space.
The unmanned aviation industry is still in its infancy, but in a few years it will force the entire civil aviation industry to transform, and it is necessary to prepare for this - this was the message of the session "Technologies to Ensure Flight Safety in the Common Airspace".
The panelists believe that aviation authorities will be able to use transponders to ensure interaction between aircraft operators and law enforcement agencies and to monitor in real time all legal UAVs in the air. The exhibition also noted that it is not enough to identify the vehicles, it is also necessary to teach the automation to interact with each other to minimize their control from the ground.
Vladimir Turov, head of the Antidron division of Kaspersky Lab, also spoke at the session about the need to build a unified information system for airspace monitoring. According to him, the unified information resource will ensure communication between airfield services, law enforcement officers and other controlling bodies to make the right decisions.
In addition, the new software will make it possible to create interceptor drones, which will be aimed at enemy UAVs of airplane type. This will secure flight zones from unnecessary impact of electronic warfare systems and will allow neutralizing the devices point by point, without illuminating civil aviation equipment, the expert believes.
