Russia is ready to resolve the issue related to the re-registration of the Russian Information and Cultural Center (Russian House) in Baku. This was announced by Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova on February 6.

She confirmed that Moscow received a note from Baku on the termination of the center's activity on the territory of the country.

"In response, the Russian side expressed readiness to perform the necessary actions to complete the registration of the Russian House and do it in accordance with the legislation, of course, of the Republic of Azerbaijan," she said at the briefing.

According to her, the Russian side has repeatedly offered to discuss the issue through diplomatic channels in the framework of consultations. She specified that the proposals to Azerbaijan were also sent in writing.

"We expect that this issue will be resolved in a positive way," Zakharova added.

Aikhan Hajizadeh, an official representative of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, said earlier in the day that Russia hadreceived a note on the termination of the Russian House in Baku. According to him, the message was sent after notification of the Russian side that the center has no registration as a legal entity, as well as grossly violates the legislation of the country.
