Kharkiv resident suspected of blowing up house of AFU veteran
The National Police of Ukraine has announced the detention of a 38-year-old Kharkiv resident who is suspected of blowing up the house of an AFU veteran. About it on February 6 reported the press service of the Ukrainian Department on the official website.
"38-year-old resident of Kharkiv is suspected of committing an explosion near the house of a veteran of the AFU, as a result of which he was injured," - follows from the statement.
According to the agency, the woman planted an explosive device near a private house in the Slobodsky district of Kharkiv. The next day the device was remotely detonated, as a result of which a 52-year-old veteran of the AFU was wounded and hospitalized for medical care.
It is noted that on January 28, the suspect was detained. The national police conducted a search, during which the agency found a substance for the manufacture of explosives in the woman's possession.
It is reported that the woman was charged under Part 2 of Article 258, which presupposes punishment for committing a terrorist act. Now she faces 12 years of imprisonment.
Earlier, on 2 February, the Ukrainian media reported that an explosion occurred in western Ukraine near the territorial recruitment center in the city of Kamyanets-Podilskyy, killing one person and injuring four others.
