An orphaned tiger cub was caught in Primorsky Krai
In Primorsky Krai, a tiger cub was caught in the Olginsky Municipal District. It was transferred to the rehabilitation center for wild animals in the village of Alekseevka in Nadezhdinsky district.
The animal was examined by veterinarians. It turned out to be a female tiger cub about 3-5 months old. Her weight is 24 kg. The tiger cub is severely dehydrated and in a critically emaciated state, writes PrimaMedia IA with reference to the regional Ministry of Forestry, Environmental Protection and Natural Resources.
The tiger cub was analyzed and placed in quarantine. It will stay there until it gets stronger and grows up. Then a decision on its further fate will be made.
The Agency reminds that the tiger cub was spotted on the territory of the settlement a few days ago. Local residents reported about it to the hunting supervisor. The cub can not remain without a mother at such a young age, so the specialists applied to Rosprirodnadzor for permission to capture it.
In early February, it was reported that in the village of Barabash, Primorsky Krai, a conflicted adult male Amur tiger was captured. According to the preliminary inspection, the animal is healthy, has no signs of injuries and diseases. Immediately after the capture, the tiger was taken to a specialized place in Alekseevka.
