PSB reported about the growth of the population's funds in the bank's accounts and deposits up to 1 trillion rubles

The volume of funds of PSB's retail customers in the bank's accounts and deposits increased by 35% and exceeded RUB 1 trillion. More than 240 billion of them belong to residents of the new Russian constituent entities. Over the year they doubled their savings, reported in the press service of the credit organization.

The main driver of growth remained fixed-term ruble deposits and savings accounts, the portfolio of which grew by more than a third and amounted to more than 700 billion rubles by 2024. Last year, PSB's retail customers opened more than 1.1 million deposits and almost 900 thousand savings accounts. The average size of term deposits is 800 thousand rubles.

According to Alexei Shchavelev, head of PSB's retail business unit, the savings activity of the population increased significantly last year against the backdrop of the progressive growth of the key rate - this was reflected in the inflow of individuals' funds into the banking system.

"The growth in the volume of savings in PSB is the result of the expansion of our federal network, the development of digital payment infrastructure and a wide offer of convenient and favorable savings and transaction products for citizens. We see a huge growth potential in new constituent entities of the Russian Federation, where the population has a high demand for both credit products and savings and settlement instruments," he said.

Shchavelev added that the banking infrastructure deployed by PSB in the new subjects provided the bank with a high level of trust of local residents, as a result of which the volume of attracted funds of the population of these regions for the year has almost doubled and exceeded 20% of the total portfolio of funds of retail clients.

"This year the positive dynamics will continue. We plan to increase the volume of funds of the population in the bank by 23% cumulatively across all Russian regions", - concluded the representative of PSB.
