A case of tax evasion for 2.3 billion rubles will be considered in Moscow Region
In the Moscow region approved the charges against the CEO, founder of the logistics company and director of affiliated organizations in the case of tax evasion in the amount of almost 2.3 billion rubles. This was reported on Wednesday, February 5, on the website of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the region.
Thus, the general director, founder of LLC "Logistics Company "Vesta" and LLC "Transport Company "Vesta", as well as the director of affiliated organizations are accused of committing a crime under par. "a, b" part 2 article 199 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Tax evasion on a particularly large scale".
"The general director, acting on the instructions and under the control of the beneficiary of these companies, committed value added tax evasion in three different tax periods. The total amount of damage caused to the budget of the Russian Federation amounted to 2.3 billion rubles," the IC said in a statement in its Telegram channel.
In the course of the investigation, the investigation imposed seizure on the settlement accounts and transport of organizations that evaded taxes, as well as on the property of affiliated companies. The total amount of seized property amounted to more than 2.4 billion rubles.
The criminal case together with the indictment approved by the prosecutor was transferred to the Mytishchi City Court for consideration.
Earlier, on December 10, the CEO of a local brewing company was detained in Ulyanovsk on suspicion of tax evasion and other crimes. As established by the investigation, from 2017 to 2022, the suspect evaded taxes totaling more than 3 billion rubles. He provided the tax authority with declarations with knowingly false information included therein. It was specified that the property of the suspect was seized for more than 3 billion rubles to compensate for the damage caused to the budget.
