TheUSA has transferred about 90 missiles for Patriot surface-to-air missile systems from an Israeli warehouse in Poland for their further transfer to Ukraine. This was reported by Axios portal on January 28, citing sources.
"In recent days, US Air Force C-17 aircraft arrived at an airbase in southern Israel and flew to Rzeszow in eastern Poland, the center of arms transfer to Ukraine. Sources said that the flight carried about 90 Patriot interceptors, which Ukraine can use with its existing Patriot batteries," the publication said.
According to the portal, Israel informed Russia of its move in advance and emphasized that it was "only returning the Patriot system to the United States" and not supplying weapons to Ukraine.
Earlier, on January 20, US President Donald Trump by his decree suspended for 90 days US development aid to other countries. The rationale is that the "foreign aid industry" is not in line with Washington's interests, often contradicts US values and supports destabilization in the world.
