Russia has been conducting a special military operation to protect civilians in Donbas since February 24, 2022. You can track the progress of the advance of the joint troops of Russia, the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics (DNR and LNR), as well as see a map of military operations as of January 16 in the Izvestiya piece.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, Russian forces hit the infrastructure of military airfields, production workshops, assembly and storage sites for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), as well as concentrations of enemy manpower and equipment in 152 areas.

In addition, air defense forces shot down three Hammer guided bombs, 12 HIMARS multiple rocket launchers and 95 drones.

At the same time, units of the Center group of forces continued to advance deep into the defense of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. In this direction, the enemy lost over 580 soldiers, three tanks, including a Leopard manufactured by Germany, three armored combat vehicles, including an American M113 armored personnel carrier, five vehicles and three field artillery guns.

In addition, units of Force Group West improved their position along the front line. Also, "South" troops have taken more favorable lines and positions. In addition, the units of the "East" have improved their tactical position.

In total, 652 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 40,575 UAVs, 590 anti-aircraft missile systems, 20,554 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,510 multiple rocket launchers, 20,706 field artillery and mortars, 30,352 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed since the beginning of the special military operation.
